Perma-Joint Sealer™ 2 Component Permanent Joint Sealer

DESCRIPTION
Perma-Joint Sealer™ is a 2 component ZERO VOC NON-HAZMAT bright white urethane sealer that permanently seals water slide joints to create a seamless transition between slide sections eliminating the need to constantly re-caulk water slide joints every season. Perma-Joint Sealer™ can be sanded, primed and painted within 15-20 minutes after it is applied so your water slides can be quickly put back into service. It can be used over all types of epoxies, gel-coats and solvent based coatings.

STORAGE
Product should be stored in well ventilated areas between 50°F (10°C) and 70°F (21°C) prior to use. KEEP FROM FREEZING and KEEP FROM EXTREME HEAT. Keep container closed when not in use. Empty containers should not be reused.

SHELF LIFE
To obtain best performance, use this product within 6 months from date of manufacture.

SAFETY
Use neoprene, nitrile or rubber gloves to prevent skin contact. Use safety eyewear including safety glasses with side shields and chemical goggles where splashing may occur. Respiratory protection is not required under normal working conditions where adequate ventilation is present.

APPLICATION
Best results are achieved when applied to clean, dry surfaces at temperatures near 70°F (21°C). Minimum application temperature is 50°F (10°C). Remove all existing caulk in the joint with a utility knife. Clean the joint by spraying SlideRenu® SlideDetergent degreaser in the joint and a ½” on each side of the joint in the ride path. Sand interior sides of joints and the top side of the joint with 200 grit wet sandpaper to create an adequate adhesion profile. Rinse the area with clean water. Wipe joint with a clean white cloth and let dry. Just prior to applying Perma-Joint Sealer™, spray SlideRenu® JointPrep™ adhesion promoter (recommended) on the area to be sealed. Once the solvent evaporates, apply Perma-Joint Sealer™ in the joint in a continuous bead. If tooling is required, shape the bead within 5 minutes after sealer application. Work time for the sealer is 5-10 minutes. Sealer will reach a functional cure in 15-20 minutes and can be sanded to create a smooth surface. If a second application is needed after sanding it should be done within 24 hours of the first application. Final cure strength is attained in 24 hours at 70°F (21°C). Prior to the sealer reaching a final cure, the joint must be primed with SlideRenu® ABC Clear Epoxy Primer and top coated with SlideRenu® Color Shield™.

CLEAN-UP
Use mineral spirits to clean tools and unwanted sealer from the water slide surface. Wash hands with a mild citrus-based soap.

FIRST AID
This material is not likely to be hazardous by inhalation. However, if exposed to excessive levels of vapor or mist, remove to fresh air, give oxygen if breathing is difficult, and get immediate medical attention. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Give victim one or two glasses of water or milk. Call a physician immediately for further instructions. Flush eyes immediately with large amount of water for at least 15 minutes holding eyelids open while flushing. Get prompt medical attention. Flush contaminated skin with large amounts of water while removing contaminated clothing. Wash affected skin areas with soap and water.

This product is available in 10.1 oz. or 300 ml. tubes and sold exclusively by SlideCare, LLC. Coverage: One 10.1 oz tube will genrally seal 10 seams up to 1/4" wide by 1/4" deep.
